Centro Prolingua's language courses have been designed to focus on the four major areas that are needed in order to learn a language: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Increasing one's vocabulary and correcting any grammatical errors also play an important part in these courses.

The following key areas are covered in our Italian language courses:

  • The correct use of grammar and syntax
  • Active and passive vocabulary development
  • Effective comprehension and assimilation of a large variety of written texts, including newspaper articles, literary extracts and commercial documents
  • The developing of a student's ability to write accurately in a range of styles and registers, such as personal and business correspondence, reports, etc.
  • Focusing on rendering the student more confident and fluent in spoken language. Students are guided to be able to communicate effectively in a wide range of everyday situations.

At Centro ProLingua we offer language courses for students of the following 6 levels:

However, we also offer special maintenance courses, for students who are completely fluent but need to practice in order to maintain the fluency they have acquired.

Before starting a course students undergo a written entrance exam and an oral interview, which allow for the assessment of their level of linguistic knowledge. A personalized proposal is drawn-up according to their specific needs - study purposes, course duration, time availability, etc.

Our teachers, together with the didactic director, assess student progress on a weekly basis. At the end of the course, students receive a certificate of attendance, a written report and an achievement diploma containing remarks and advice for further studies.

Centro ProLingua offers short Intensive courses (2 weeks, 3 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months). The lessons for the short courses are held from Monday through Friday, 4 hours a day, mornings or afternoons. Likewise, we also have long Intensive courses (6 months, 9 months). In the case of long Intensive courses, for the first 3 levels, lessons are held from Monday through Friday, 4 hours a day, mornings or afternoons. From the fourth level on, lessons are held three times a week.

Enrolling in an Intensive course at Centro Prolingua grants you several privileges, such as 1 hour per day free use of the Multimedia Study Center; unlimited use of the Internet; 1 free guided visit per month; free group conversation lessons and more.

The Standard courses last 2, 3, 6 and 9 months. Lessons are held either 2 times a week, 3 hours per day or 3 times a week, 2 hours per day, mornings or afternoons.
